If you follow the WYFBA Success Path that we have lined out for you, you can write, edit, and publish your book in two years.
Yes, you can do it sooner, and there are plenty of programs out there that will get your book out in 30 days! We’re just not that kind of program.
Instead, we understand two things: 1. You’ve got a busy life that you have to write around, and 2. You want to put out a quality book you’re proud of.
Those two things mean you need time to write, edit, and publish your book. Which is why we give you both lifetime access AND deadlines with rewards to encourage you to get work done on your book.
When you enroll, you get lifetime access to the WYFBA courses, community and coaching as long as we offer the program in this form.
However, if you are inactive for over a year – that means you haven’t attended a coaching call, come to a sprint, or responded to any of our messages – we will unenroll you in the program without a refund.
This helps us maintain an active and supportive program, and incentivizes you to show up for yourself and your book.
If you join WYFBA and it is not what you expected, you have 30 days to let us know and we will refund you your money. After that, we do not offer refunds of any kinds.
This helps us maintain cohesion in the program and make sure you don’t leave just because editing a book is hard. (Don’t worry, we’ll help you through it and make it as fun and easy as we can!)
While this price of lifetime membership in WYFBA is a GREAT deal for this high-end, high-touch program, we’ve been broke artists before and understand that many creatives lack access to resources, especially those who come from historically marginalized and systemically oppressed communities.
Which is why we offer 10% of spots in all our programs to people from underserved and under-resourced communities who would otherwise not be able to afford it, and discounted prices for people in countries where the exchange rate and/or income disparity would make WYFBA prohibitive.
On top of that 10%, we have scholarship spots specifically for refugees, people seeking asylum, people experiencing homelessness, anyone on permanent disability, or members of any indigenous tribe, including the Kumeyaay, who are the original inhabitants of the stolen land on which Lauren lives and School for Writers operates.
