While this current price is a GREAT deal for this high-end workshop, we’ve been broke artists before and understand that many creatives lack access to resources, especially those who come from historically marginalized and systemically oppressed communities.
Which is why we offer 10% of spots in all our programs to people from underserved and underresourced communities who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
On top of that 10% of spots saved for people who would otherwise not be able to afford the program, this workshop is always free to refugees, people seeking asylum, people experiencing homelessness, anyone on permanent disability, or members of any indigienous tribe, including the Kumeyaay, who are the original inhabitants of the stolen land on which School for Writers operates.
While we offer scholarships of free and reduced pricing, we ask that you still pay for your course by passing on a skill you have to others. Share information with your community on social media, teach your skills by writing your book, help a friend in need, pay it forward.
Our scholarships are on an honor system, which means if you say you need one we believe you. If you need a scholarship, you can enter code “journalingforeveryone” to get the program in exchange for paying it forward to someone else in need when you can.
